Day 4's surprise.

Fredricksburg, Va yesterday.  Saw Addie's game.  Spent the night.  Great seeing Addie and meeting her housemates. Three lacrosse and a field hockey player.  Drove to and all around D.C. today.  Mission was to see all the new memorials..  It has been years since I have been sightseeing in DC.  Saw the Korean War, Vietnam, W W II, MLK Jr, and FDR memorials.  All new to me.  The surprise was the size of each.  Having only seen them through media I hadn't appreciated how much space they took. The Vietnam is way longer than I imagined and everything about the FDR is huge.  I think I was most impressed with the FDR.  Cherry blossoms are in bloom and may be gone by next week at festival time.  Finally you can't imagine how many wrong turns I took driving in DC. At one point my GPS spoke gibberish to me. And I think I can drive all across the country!
