Took a three hour jeep tour into the botton of the canyon. Saw my first cliff dwellings and pictrographs and petroglyphs. Because being part of a party of 5 in the jeep which was really a battered surburban I did not take many photos but have a great picture book to show and tell. Our guide grew up in the canyon and still has a family summer home way back in the canyon. He is a navaho and the canyon is considered to be the Navaho spiritual home. It was the best way to experience the canyon.
