Capitol Reef National Park

Each park is thrilling.  I still can not quite figure this one out.  The best I can say is the earth buckled and folded over so the oldest rocks are now on top and younger ones in the middle.  Water erosion has created the fantastic forms and shapes in rocks and the fold.  But most striking are the colors.  The atmosphere is about the clearest in the country so rock forms are sharp with detailed outlines.  The sky is very blue so contrast is spectacular.
Photos show twin rocks, the castle, fluted wall, capitol dome, egyptian temple and colors.  This whole thing is 100 miles by 33 miles.  Another other world sight.
