Oregon Trail

Route 84 follows the general route of the Old Oregon Trail between Twin Falls Idaho and Willamette Oregon.  Today I drove from Pendleton to Twin Falls only in reverse direction.  I detoured to stop at an Oregon Trail Interpretive Center and left with a healthy respect for the early pioneers.  How they managed to travel over all those hills, mountains, plateau, rivers, prairies etc is a wonder.  Today I drove along with triple trailer trucks and the company of Sirius radio symphonies.  A pioneer I am not.  Again the topography amazes.  The falls are the twin falls.  The snake river cut the deep canyon and the falls emerged as a result.
