Death Valley to Sequoia National Park

What a drive.  First out of the desert.  Then down the valley just west of death valley.  Over two mountain ranges.  Through a Sierra Nevada Pass.  100 miles on a California freeway.  After checking in I headed to the park. Once there I followed the Generals Highway. This was about an hour off switchbacks as I gained elevation of 6000 ft.  Then another hour of mountain drive through Kings Canyon to get down.  Here is the problem.  There was about a half hour stretch of construction on the access drive up Sequoia.  One way road.  Traffic was held until the hour going up and the half hour going down. Once up I decided to keep going rather than go back through the construction delays.  In spite of being tired I was able to appreciate the size of the trees.  You will note the relative size compared to the people and cars. Also note Joshua Trees at 4000 ft on the pass through the Sierras.
